Program Outline
- The Targeted Football Program offers students a unique opportunity to combine their academic studies with high-quality training within the school environment.
- Students are supported to build upon the skills and knowledge they develop outside of school, while receiving specialised coaching acrosss all aspects of Football. Thee program focuses on the development of technical skills, tactical awareness, physical conditioning, and overall game understanding.
- Participants are provided with opportunities to enhance their individual performance while also learning to work effectively within a team structure. Ongoing monitoring and assessment take place throughout the year, including individual evaluation across key components of the game. Parents and carers are regularly provided with feedback on student progress.
- The Football Program prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, where students are encouraged to grow both as athletes and as individuals. A strong emphasis is placed on developing respectful, responsible, and community-minded young people.
- Students are expected to meet the school's academic and behavioural standards to remain eligible to represent Eagle Vale Sports High School in Football.

Coaches
Fabian Cappetta (PDHPE teacher @ EVSHS)
Fabian Cappetta is an AFC/FA B Diploma–qualified coach, who brings extensive experience across senior men’s football in both Football NSW League Two and the Football South Coast mens competition.
Currently serving as Assistant Coach with South Coast Flame Men’s First Grade side, he has contributed to consistent team success. Prior to this, he was Head Coach of Oak Flats Falcons Men’s First Grade, where he led the team to outstanding achievements, including securing both the League Championship and Grand Final victory and was recognised as Coach of the Year.
His coaching is underpinned by a strong commitment to player development, performance excellence, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
Brodie Clarkson
Brodie Clarkson has experience across school, high-performance, and elite football as both a player and coach, including roles at Westfields Sports High School, Matraville Sports High School, and the NSW Institute of Sport.
As a player, he has A-League experience with Macarthur Bulls, developed within the Western Sydney Wanderers system, and spent time overseas with KVC Westerlo and Excelsior Rotterdam. He currently plays NPL1 for St George City FA.
Brodie has represented and captained Australia at youth level, earned National Schoolboys and National Youth League Player of the Tournament honours, and represented NSW in the Emerging Socceroos program.
He is an ASCA Level 1 accredited strength and conditioning coach, a Football Australia accredited coach, and brings over 8 years of coaching experience.
