Selection Procedures
To be eligible for enrolment at Eagle Vale Sports High School, students must either reside within the local intake area or be selected on merit as part of the Talented Sports Program (TSP).
Selection on merit is based on the following criteria:
- demonstrated sporting ability, achievement or potential
- a sound academic record
- a positive attitude towards school and learning
- a strong student wellbeing and behaviour record
Successful applicants are expected to be available to represent the school in all relevant competitions and events for which they are selected, including those conducted by the Sydney South West School Sport Association, NSW Combined High Schools, and the NSW All Schools Sports Association.
As a high-profile sports high school, students may be invited to participate in media opportunities, including interviews, photography, and promotional features. The school takes pride in celebrating student achievements through both print and digital platforms. Parent and carer consent for such media participation is a condition of enrolment.
All students accepted into the Targeted Sports Program, along with their parents or carers, are required to sign a Code of Conduct. This document outlines the expectations and responsibilities associated with participation in the program.
Selection Process
Applicants take part in a structured selection process that may include trials, interviews and a review of academic, behavioural and sporting information. This ensures every decision is made fairly and transparently, and that students admitted to the program can meet its expectations and opportunities.
