Eagle Vale High School support unit provides a supportive learning environment to meet the diverse academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs of individual students. The support unit consists of three mild intellectual disability (IM) classes, two moderate disability (IO) classes and one class from students with autism.
The support unit consists of 12 staff in total. Six qualified special education teachers and six student learning support officers (SLSOs). Staff, parents and students work collaboratively to develop individual educational plans (IEP) to identify areas in which individuals require adjustments or accommodations so they may access the curriculum.
