Outline of Program
· The aim of the program is to extend upon the skills and knowledge of the cricket experience gained outside the school environment.
· To achieve this, students will experience tuition in skill acquisition and be exposed to knowledge of all aspects of the game.
· This will involve practical and theoretical exposure to elements such as cricket history, skill acquisition, rules of the game, revision of game situations and competition in available tournaments.
· Every opportunity will be given to students to forge their career path from junior representative teams to grade and beyond.
· Parents will have the chance to speak with coaches about their child’s academic achievements, behaviour, and cricket development.
Training:
Summer Focus will be drawn from:
Skill Acquisition, Nets Sessions, Game Simulation/ Game Sense, Technique Refinement and Analysis of Games.
Winter Focus will be drawn from:
Nutrition, Match Analysis, Goal Setting, Tactical Awareness, Fitness Training, involvement in Indoor Cricket Competitions, Video Analysis of Individual Skills, Scoring Courses, Umpiring Courses and Coaching Courses.
